Corporate Tax Assistant Manager

We're supporting a fantastic, well-known firm of chartered accountants based in Tunbridge Wells, seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Assistant Manager to join their growing team.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Developing effective relationships with a varied and interesting client portfolio.
  • Operating in a hybrid role between home and office working.
  • Benefiting from excellent career development potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and preparing corporate tax returns, including more complex filings
  • Handling enquiries from HMRC
  • Contacting clients to gather additional information
  • Identifying and supporting clients with tax planning opportunities
  • Conducting research projects
  • Addressing queries regarding tax filings or payments from HMRC
  • Collaborating with Partners to provide advice on:
    • R&D tax relief
    • Loss relief
    • Capital allowances
    • Group reorganisations
    • Employee share schemes
  • Supporting Managers and Partners with staff management

Requirements

  • Previous corporate tax experience within a UK Accountancy Practice
  • ATT/CTA/ACCA or ACA qualification (or currently studying)
  • Advantageous familiarity with tax software
  • Strong corporate awareness and relationships-building skills
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage and multitask workload effectively
