The Corporate and Multinational tax team specialises in working with large, complex businesses to navigate the ever-changing tax landscape, manage risk, and ensure compliance. Our team delivers tailored, proactive, and value-added solutions while combining technical expertise with a commercial mindset. We build trusted adviser relationships with sophisticated tax teams globally—and we’re looking for a sharp, self-motivated Assistant Manager with a UK corporation tax background to join us on this journey.

Key Responsibilities
As part of the Corporate and Multinational tax team, you’ll serve a diverse client base, from listed groups to large private equity-backed businesses.

In this Corporate Tax Assistant Manager role, you will:
- Advise clients across a range of tax issues, covering both compliance and advisory projects.
- Manage the preparation of tax provisions and returns, ensuring deadlines are met and delivering high levels of client service.
- Prepare technical advisory reports for client strategies.
- Support day-to-day client communications and drive solutions for advisory projects (in collaboration with the senior team).
- Oversee budgets, WIP (work in progress), and the operational workflow of client projects.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to junior team members.
Requirements
To succeed as a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager, you’ll need to:
- Hold a professional qualification (ATT, CTA, ACA, ICAS, or ACCA) with post-qualification experience.
- Manage a recurring portfolio of tax clients while maintaining strong client service standards.
While experience in the following would help, we’re adaptable:
- UK corporation tax technical skills, including expertise in:
- Tax provisioning and advisory projects.
- Hybrid and mismatch rules, interest deductibility, controlled foreign companies regime, and Pillars 2.
- Ability to work independently yet collaboratively—being self-motivated and proactive.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, alongside professional interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in Alphatax, Power BI, and Microsoft Office.
