About the Role
We're a Corporate Tax Team working across many sectors including TMT (Technology, Media & Telecommunications), Lifesciences, Manufacturing and Science, supporting businesses ranging from entrepreneurial start-ups to large, global FTSE 100 companies. We are a fast-growing, high-performing team, and this role offers the opportunity to:
- Lead the delivery of advisory work
- Build and run a portfolio of clients

Tax is a dynamic, ever-changing industry. As your clients’ needs and regulation evolve, you’ll engage in innovative problem-solving and growth opportunities. Your responsibilities may include:
- Advising clients on specialised areas such as Corporation Tax
- Leading multi-team project delivery
- Enjoying variety and challenging strokes in your day-to-day work.
BDO supports a vast diversity of businesses across all sectors nationally and globally. Your work will involve delivering Tax Advisory services to:
- Private Equity-backed companies
- Private businesses
- FTSE-listed multinationals

Key Responsibilities
Client Management
- Provide commercially viable and technically excellent advice, handling diverse client needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Maximise opportunities by proactively selling new services to both existing and new clients in collaboration with partners.
Leadership & Growth
- Demonstrate proactive, collaborative working — actively engaging with Directors and BDO Partners to serve clients effectively.
- Apply a strategic mindset to grow your portfolio and leadership skills for career development and BDO’s success.
Advising & Developing
- Offer consistent, high-quality advice grounded in thoughtful client understanding and long-term relationships.
- Foster a culture of innovation, openness, and continuous mentorship.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong understanding of and experience managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients for advisory and compliance support.
- CTA and/or ACA qualification (or equivalent).
- Proven ability to lead the delivery of technically robust and commercially sound tax advisory solutions.
- Experience responding to new opportunities, targeting existing and potential clients to expand service provision and portfolio.
- Skills in people management; championship of collaboration and team-building.
