A leading global investment management business is seeking a qualified tax professional to join its growing group tax function.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to move into a commercially focused in-house role within an international organisation.

Reporting directly to the Tax Director, you will play a key role in managing tax compliance activities across multiple jurisdictions while also gaining exposure to a broad range of international tax matters, strategic projects, and emerging tax developments.

As the tax function continues to evolve, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to broaden their responsibilities and contribute to a variety of advisory initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review draft tax returns and coordinate with external service providers to ensure timely and accurate filings.
  • Manage the tracking, collection, and validation of information required for tax compliance processes.
  • Support transfer pricing compliance activities, including the coordination of Master File and Local File documentation and liaison with external advisors.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of corporate tax provisions and tax returns across an international portfolio of entities spanning more than 20 jurisdictions.
  • Support Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) and Pillar Two.
  • Conduct tax research on local and international tax matters and assist with the development of practical tax guidance.
  • Draft and maintain internal tax policies, procedures, and governance documentation.
  • Coordinate external advisor engagements, including engagement letters, budgets, invoices, and ongoing project administration.
  • Partner with finance, legal, and operational stakeholders across multiple regions to support tax-related projects and initiatives.
  • Assist the Tax Director with international tax advisory matters as required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
