Corporate Tax Manager – Confidential Accountancy Firm
Location: Essex | Full-time | £60,000 – £70,000
A leading independent accountancy firm is looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Manager to join its growing tax team in Essex. The firm has a strong reputation for supporting owner-managed and entrepreneurial businesses, offering a mix of compliance and advisory work across a varied client base.
The Role
- Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients, including compliance and advisory work
- Acting as a trusted advisor to owner-managed businesses
- Supporting on corporate reorganisations, transactions, and profit extraction strategies
- Advising on R&D tax relief, capital allowances, and tax-efficient planning
- Reviewing corporation tax returns, computations, and client correspondence
- Leading, mentoring, and reviewing the work of junior team members
- Collaborating with other service lines to deliver integrated client solutions

About You
- ACA / ATT qualified, with CTA qualified or in progress
- Strong experience in corporate tax compliance and advisory
- Good knowledge of R&D reliefs, capital allowances, and restructuring work
- Confident communicator, able to explain complex tax matters clearly
- Commercially aware, proactive, and a collaborative team player
- Experience managing junior staff and building client relationships
