Corporate Tax Manager
What stands you apart from the rest? Outstanding communication, acting with purpose, and proactive thinking? We’re looking for a Corporate Tax Manager in our Midlands hub—someone who thrives on building expertise, delivering tax-efficient solutions, and creating a first-class client experience.
About the Day-to-Day
As the primary tax contact for a diverse client portfolio, you’ll balance compliance and advisory work to ensure clients achieve their business objectives in the most efficient way.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of business tax clients, covering:
- Reviewing tax returns, computations, and disclosure accounting
- Participating in the signing out of returns for complex clients (with independence from directors/partners)
- Building strong client relationships, being their main point of contact for tax matters.
- Providing expert tax advice, including:
- Corporate tax planning
- Restructuring support
- Casework and compliance
- Handling HMRC interactions, including investigations and disputes.
- Collaborating internally with audit and advisory teams to deliver seamless service.
- Cross-selling additional services to clients and generating new business.
- Mentoring junior team members and contributing to continuous improvement across our firm.

About You

- Has experience managing a corporate tax portfolio, spanning large corporate groups, AIM-listed firms, private equity-backed businesses, or international entities.
- Acts as an intuitive advisor, ensuring clients feel truly supported with clear, jargon-free guidance.
- Is a relationship builder, thriving on collaboration both internally (with senior teams) and externally (with clients).
- Demonstrates team spirit, with a focus on developing others and taking collective responsibility.
- Passes the “wow!” test—clients should feel their tax matters are handled with excellence.
Located across Derby, Birmingham, London, Reading, and Manchester.
