Head of Tax Team | Tax Director
About the Role
The tax team of this highly profitable mid-tier firm has grown significantly over recent years. An active client base and further plans to expand ensure a clear pathway to director and partner for a senior tax professional.
An exceptional opportunity exists for a driven, motivated individual to step up into this role and take responsibility for leading a rapidly expanding tax team. This position will allow you to manage clients directly and develop relations, alongside supervise accountants and advisors through progress towards quality charter accounting.
- As the Head of Tax Team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and strategy of the tax team.
- Guide a variety of tax projects from start to finish and build strong professional relationships with clients.
- Oversee development and support opportunities from qualified accountants and advisors.
- Achieve clear progression from this role to Director, and potentially Partner upon growth of the firm.
- A proactive and collaborative approach is sought, ensuring excellent client relations and service delivery.

To fulfill this critical tax role, we are looking for:
- A qualified accountant (i.e., Chartered Accountant) with 3+ years of relevant experience leading tax teams or advising high-net-worth individuals/clients.
- Strong tax advisory and strategy skills - Corporation Tax, VAT and Inheritance Tax are ideal, but team proficiency encompasses all tax considerations.
- Proven ability to oversee teams and mentor staff in quality accountancy practices.
- Demonstrated record of fostering and strengthening client relationships while delivering outstanding results.
- Passionate about advancing your career within a professional or consultancy atmosphere.
- An engaging, passionate and capable individual who enjoys working collaboratively within a progressive team environment.
