TPF Recruitment, Kent’s leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a highly respected and long-established top-tier accountancy practice in Chatham. Our client is renowned for delivering outstanding advisory services and fostering a professional, collaborative, and supportive working culture. Based in a modern, well-equipped office, they are looking to recruit a Corporate Tax Senior Manager to join their growing Tax team.

The Role

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Corporate Tax professional to play a key leadership role within a highly regarded practice. The successful candidate will take responsibility for leading complex corporate tax compliance and advisory projects, whilst supporting the continued growth and development of the firm’s tax offering across Kent and the wider South East.

You will work closely with Partners and senior leadership, acting as a trusted adviser to a broad portfolio of owner-managed businesses, groups, and high-net-worth individuals. Advisory projects will include corporate restructuring, exit and succession planning, shareholder tax planning, transactions, and inheritance tax matters.

This position will also involve managing and developing junior members of the tax team, supporting the strategic direction of the department, and identifying opportunities to further enhance client relationships and service offerings. Both full-time and part-time candidates will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of complex corporate tax compliance and advisory services
  • Manage a substantial portfolio of corporate clients and key relationships
  • Provide strategic tax planning advice to owner-managed businesses and shareholders
  • Lead advisory assignments including restructuring, succession planning, and transactions
  • Oversee project budgets, workflow, and client deadlines
  • Support Partners on high-level technical and client matters
  • Mentor, develop, and review the work of junior team members
  • Identify opportunities for business development and cross-selling services
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC and professional body standards

Requirements

  • CTA and/or ACA qualified with significant experience in corporate tax advisory
  • Strong technical expertise gained within an accountancy practice environment
  • Proven experience managing complex client portfolios and advisory projects
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and developing staff
  • Commercially aware with strong client relationship management skills
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
