The Role

Seeking a corporate solicitor with 4+ years’ Post-Qualification Experience (PQE), specialising in technology, AI, and innovation-driven transactions, to join us as a Consultant Partner. The ideal candidate thrives on client trust, fee negotiations, and business development, unafraid to drive growth independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transactional expertise: Lead and advise across corporate, technology, and AI-focused deals, including:
    • Due diligence on start-ups and tech firms
    • Contract drafting, negotiation, and review
    • Regulation-compliant guidance for emerging tech sectors
  • Client development & retention:
    • Proactively grow a high-value client pipeline (existing contact networks greatly valued)
    • Demonstrate entrepreneurial drive in seeking new business opportunities
  • Service delivery:
    • Set professional rates and payment terms independently
    • Maintain exceptional service standards while balancing business scalability
  • Community engagement:
    • Contribute to partnerships with like-minded consultants
    • Collaborate on trends in AI law, data governance, and digitisation
  • Business Operations: Align around shared goals without lost accountability—you decide how you meet them.

Requirements

Educational & Professional Experience

  • 4+ years’ Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in corporate law, ideally focused on technology or AI.
  • Specialisation preferred in one or more of:
    • Venture or equity financing
    • IP transactions
    • Regulatory compliance for Fintech/AI startups
    • Mergers & acquisitions in the tech sector
    • Employment law confounded by emerging tech
