# Cost Manager – Data Centre Sector (UK & Europe)

At Turner & Townsend, we’re passionate about making a difference—delivering better outcomes for our clients, helping our teams realise their potential, and contributing to a prosperous society. Every day, we support global clients in driving ambitious and highly technical projects across 130+ countries.

Our team is dynamic, innovative, and client-focused, backed by an inclusive and engaging culture. Clients value our proactive approach, deep expertise, technical integrity, and high-quality execution. In return, our people get to work on the world’s most exciting projects.

About the Role

The data centre sector is central to Turner & Townsend’s strategy, and we’re expanding. This permanent Cost Manager position is ideal for someone eager to join our team—working with clients across the UK and Europe—within this high-growth industry.

You’ll demonstrate cost management expertise, specifically in civils, structural, and architectural works at a Cost Manager level. While direct data centre experience is advantageous, strong transferable skills will also be considered. You’ll be a technically adept team player who takes ownership of delivery while managing complex projects from feasibility through post-contract stages, maximising cost value and efficiency.

This role requires:

  • Cost planning and execution (pre-contract, negotiation, procurement, financial risk reduction)
  • Commercial pricing and modelling to enhance project performance and drive value
  • Strong negotiation skills to create and optimise contracts (JCT, NEC, or FIDIC experience preferred)

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
