About the Role
Costa Coffee Barista Maestro | Places Leisure, Brand-New Flagship Leisure Centre
You’ll join our dedicated team in our state-of-the-art leisure centre, supporting the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager across all operations. Your key responsibilities include:
- Delivering outstanding customer service—ensuring every guest has an enjoyable experience.
- Training and coaching baristas to master the craft of high-quality coffee, including perfect grinding techniques.
- Leading by example—inspiring your team to uphold excellence in every cup served.
- Maintaining store standards—from presentation to workflow efficiency.
- Offering an exceptional coffee experience, blending skill with creativity (think latte art and premium espresso techniques).
This is more than a coffee role—it’s about mentoring others, embodying the Costa brand, and ensuring our customers leave with smiles on their faces.
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will:
- Supervise baristas—train, mentor, and ensure consistency in coffee quality and customer service.
- Manage store operations—work closely with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager for seamless service.
- Uphold Costa’s brand values—representing the business professionally and passionately.
- Adapt to high-energy environments—balancing efficiency with excellence under the leisure centre’s demands.
- Commit to wellness and team nursery—encouraging a culture of health and community spirit.
Essential Requirements
- 6+ months’ experience as a Costa Coffee Barista Maestro (Supervisor)—or equivalent supervisory experience in the coffee sector. (Non-compliance with this experience requirement may result in automated rejection of your application.)
- DBS check will be required (standard for safeguarding purposes).
- Availability strictly limited to afternoon shifts and weekends—this is a non-negotiable barrier.
- Must demonstrate a passion for coaching and nurturing talent—coffee craftsmanship, team inclusivity, and continuous learning.
- Friendly, adaptable temperament—able to thrive in service-focused, fast-paced environments.
- Preferred qualification (optional but useful): Proven experience in retail supervision or customer training programs.
