The Role of Costing Assistant
As a Costing Assistant at EllisDon, you’ll contribute directly to our financial and project support operations:
- Review and approve accounts payable batches.
- Create vouchers for cost transfers and assist with cost code creation.
- Collaborate with the payroll team to coordinate labour allocation and handle transfers as needed.
- Work within the Project Management System and Financial Management System, supporting daily activities for project teams and the finance team.
- Support new project setups and fulfill other related duties as assigned.
Requirements

Two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Understanding of construction accounting, along with proficiency in AS400 (AS/400) systems. Strong computer skills are highly desirable.

High attention to detail, with proven organizational and time management capabilities.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships—both internally and externally.

A Diploma or Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.

Salary Range: $57,000.00 – $67,000.00 CAD.
