Costs Draftsman

Costs Draftsperson (Remote)

Location: Remote (UK) Salary: Competitive + Bonus (DOE)

Harkaye Core Talent is partnering with a highly regarded Costs Firm to recruit an experienced Costs Draftsperson for a fully remote opportunity. Enjoy:

Responsibilities

You will manage your own caseload and prepare high-quality costs documentation from instruction through to settlement:

  • Preparing Bills of Costs
  • Drafting Costs Budgets (Precedent H)
  • Preparing Budget Discussion Reports
  • Drafting Points of Dispute and Replies
  • Negotiating costs settlements
  • Advising fee earners on costs strategy
  • Supporting Detailed Assessment proceedings as required

Requirements

Essential

  • Previous experience as a Costs Draftsperson or Costs Lawyer
  • Strong knowledge of CPR and Costs Practice Direction
  • Experience preparing Bills of Costs and Costs Budgets
  • Knowledge of Detailed Assessment procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

Desirable

  • Experience in Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence, Group Litigation, or Commercial Litigation
  • Advocacy experience (advantageous but not essential)
