We’re looking for a Counter Sales Person to join the team at our Dundee branch. Our salespeople thrive on great conversations, building lasting relationships, and driving branch success.


What You’ll Be Doing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building connections: Engage customers in person, over the phone, in-store, or on-site—providing expert advice and tailored support.
  • Creating tailored solutions: Prepare accurate quotes, follow up on enquiries, and develop valuable leads to fuel business growth.
  • Admin efficiency: Manage essential office and customer service tasks efficiently.
  • Product expertise: Offer up-to-date guidance on materials and products to help customers find the best fit.
  • Shop experience: Maintain well-stocked, inviting displays to enhance navigation and visual appeal.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues—both booth and yard sales teams—to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth operations.

What You’ll Bring

  • Customer-focused mindset: Exceptional customer service skills with empathy and enthusiasm.
  • Basic tech skills: Strong computer literacy to manage systems and processes.
  • Sales background: Previous retail, sales, or customer-facing roles provide an advantage.
  • Industry knowledge: Familiarity with builders’ merchant environments or product knowledge is preferable (training provided for all).
  • Soft skills: Strong timekeeping, organisation, and clear communication.
  • Attention to detail: Able to listen well and adapt your approach to each customer for a personalised experience.
