About BJAK BJAK is building the next-generation insurance and financial services platform—designed to be radically simple, transparent, and accessible. We are the largest insurance platform in Southeast Asia, serving millions of users and transforming how consumers compare, purchase, and manage insurance. As we expand globally, we are launching BJAK in the United Kingdom, building a technology-led platform to simplify insurance selection, accelerate policy renewals, and improve transparency for consumers. About the Role The Country Business Head – UK will be the single-threaded owner of BJAK’s UK business, with end-to-end accountability for market entry, regulatory readiness, product launch, partnerships, and commercial growth. This role requires a builder and operator who can translate strategy into execution. You will lead the setup of BJAK’s UK operations, establish insurer partnerships, oversee regulatory processes, and drive the successful launch and scaling of the platform. You will work closely with product, engineering, compliance, and senior leadership to bring BJAK’s platform to market while ensuring strong regulatory alignment and long-term commercial sustainability. What You Will Be Doing Market Entry & Business Planning Develop and execute BJAK’s UK market entry strategy, including a detailed business plan covering regulatory setup, partnerships, distribution strategy, and long-term growth. Translate BJAK’s global strategy into a clear UK operating model with defined milestones, KPIs, and execution cadence. Identify market opportunities, competitive positioning, and growth levers to establish BJAK as a leading digital insurance platform in the UK. Regulatory & Licensing Lead the process of obtaining the necessary FCA licenses and regulatory approvals required to operate in the UK insurance market. Work closely with internal and external legal and compliance teams to ensure BJAK’s operations align with UK regulatory requirements. Ensure ongoing regulatory compliance, governance, and operational processes aligned with industry standards. Insurer Partnerships & Distribution Build and manage strategic relationships with insurance carriers, underwriting partners, and ecosystem players in the UK. Negotiate commercial agreements, distribution partnerships, and integration frameworks with insurers. Expand BJAK’s distribution network through strategic partnerships, digital platforms, and ecosystem collaborations. Product Launch & Market Execution Lead the launch of BJAK’s platform in the UK market. Work closely with product and engineering teams to localise platform features, integrations, and customer journeys. Ensure the platform aligns with UK customer needs, regulatory requirements, and insurer integration standards. Drive rapid iteration and execution to achieve strong product-market fit. Commercial Growth & Operations Own the commercial performance of the UK market, including revenue growth and long-term business sustainability. Build and lead the UK team across marketing, partnerships, PR, operations, and support. Establish scalable operating processes, performance metrics, and reporting structures to support growth. Leadership & Execution Represent BJAK with insurers, regulators, partners, and key stakeholders in the UK market. Build a high-performing team with a strong ownership culture and execution mindset. Operate with speed and discipline to scale the UK business into a sustainable and profitable operation. What You Will Need 7+ years of experience in insurance, fintech, digital platforms, consulting, or high-growth technology companies Strong understanding of the UK insurance market and regulatory environment Experience working with insurers, underwriting partners, or insurance platforms Proven ability to launch and scale new products, markets, or business initiatives Strong commercial acumen with experience driving partnerships and revenue growth Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams Highly analytical, execution-focused, and comfortable operating in fast-paced environments Why Join BJAK Lead the full launch and growth of BJAK in the UK End-to-end ownership of the UK business Work directly with founders and senior leadership on global expansion Opportunity to build and scale a technology-led insurance platform Clear pathway into regional or global leadership roles Compensation Range We offer a highly competitive compensation package ranging from £150,000 to £200,000, reflecting the seniority and strategic importance of this role, alongside performance-based incentives and long-term upside linked to business growth. .
