About the Role

As the Country HR Partner, you will be a trusted in-country HR expert and leadership partner, supporting our people leaders in building high-performing teams and driving meaningful business outcomes.

A key focus of your role will be coaching and partnering with managers, particularly those at manager through Director level, combining leadership expertise with a deep understanding of talent strategy and organisational priorities. This is a highly influential, business-facing role, requiring a relationship-driven approach, constructive challenge, and a commitment to improving talent, performance, and growth.

What You’ll Do

You will work closely with People Leaders and HR teams to ensure the necessary resources and interventions for the people strategy are in place when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with leaders across the business to drive HR contribution to business results through leadership, performance, and engagement.
  • Develop personal and professional HR credibility by demonstrating courage, integrity, and initiative, challenging leaders to be their best while championing HR interventions that deliver bottom-line value.
  • Identify and nurture talent align with long-term objectives, ensuring access and visibility of key talent at multiple levels.
  • Support succession planning and identify the values, behaviours, and skills that will shape future leadership.
  • Partner internally with:
    • Total Rewards, Talent & Performance, HR Service Delivery
    • Regional & Corporate/Global HR teams
    • Talent Acquisition, Compensation, and Employee Relations (acting as a point of escalation for complex cases)
  • Lead talent management, including:
    • Talent mapping and succession planning
    • Action planning for performance development
  • Operate independently as an HR business partner, handling issues such as performance or disciplinary matters.
  • Gather intelligence on internal and external best practices to ensure broader alignment on people management strategies.

Partnering Across HR Functions

  • Work with Manager through Director-level leaders and collaborate with global HR teams to align and execute strategy.
  • Ensure curate development and reward strategies are effectively implemented locally to match Hologic’s Compensation Policy.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing on talent, leadership, and performance strategies.

What We Expect

We are looking for a strategic HR leader with expertise, credibility, and commercial insight. You must:

Requirements

  • A strong understanding of legal and statutory frameworks relevant to your scope.
  • Knowledge of Hologic’s HR policies, initiatives, and key metrics (e.g., compensation planning cycles).
  • Deep familiarity with Hologic’s products, services, and enterprise priorities, including revenue and growth objectives.
  • Ability to ** fluently discuss strategic plans** and align leadership on key performance metrics.
  • Commercial awareness, ensuring strategies align with business priorities.
  • Strong relationships with people leaders in your area, able to articulate both strengths and development areas.
  • Confidence in talent assessment, judging leadership capability effectively.
  • A robust grasp of Hologic’s talent and performance philosophy, including leadership expectations, engagement, and development frameworks.

Skills & Competencies

  • Expert coaching at all levels:
    • Pure coaching and command-and-control approaches (e.g., sports coaching).
    • Selection of appropriate development models for leaders.
  • Talent selection and recruitment aligned with strategic priorities. -Ability to analyse talent and performance needs via assessments, strengths reports, and data.
  • Independent HR generalist capability (e.g., handling performance/disciplinary matters).
  • Design metrics and reports that provide meaningful insights.
  • Ability to interpret data and translate into impactful action.
  • Strong communication: Confidence in articulating insights both verbally and in writing.
  • Facilitation: Leading workshops as required.

Location & Remuneration

  • Work Location: Office-based position in Cambridge, with regular travel to Manchester.
  • Salary: £58,000–£75,000 (final offer based on experience, skills, and internal pay alignment).
