I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

  • Immediate Priority: Develop the UK market by building relationships with importers, distributors, foodservice operators, retailers, large-format customers, and other strategic channel partners.
  • Key Activities: Move from market mapping to relationship creation, commercial negotiation, and conversion of opportunities into measurable revenue.

Over time, as the business gains scale and commercial traction, the mandate is expected to broaden. The Country Manager will have the opportunity to shape the company's wider European growth agenda and build a local team aligned with business requirements.

This role demands a commercially sharp, self-driven, and entrepreneurial leader who can operate independently without the immediate support structure of a large local organization. The successful candidate will combine strategic market development capability with hands-on execution and will be comfortable building the business from the ground up.

The role is particularly suited to someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys creating markets rather than inheriting them, and can build long-term customer relationships while remaining deeply accountable for revenue, profitability, and sustainable growth.
