Country Manager UK
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Country Manager to lead our operations in the UK. In this key leadership role, you will oversee all day-to-day business activities, driving profitability, operational excellence, and exceptional customer service. You will manage a high-performing team, foster business growth, and represent the company with key stakeholders, ensuring compliance with local regulations and alignment with global standards.
Day-to-day activities
Direct profit & loss responsibility for the country. Responsible for enlarging country customer base, performance results vs sales targets. Customer Service - provide the best level of service to customers and build a trustworthy and long-lasting relationship according to global CS standard of service. Responsible for logistics and port operation activities in the country. Finance – overall responsibility for country working capital and financial statements. Lead interfaces and achievements with other global/regional functions, and countries in the company. Manage cargo flow policies in order to bring to the best results. Manage the country according to the local regulations together with company best practice. Represent ZIM in all local authorities.

Business Development
Responsible for country business development. Improve ZIM brand in the local market - take part in conventions, develop relationships with customers based on trust, and enhance interactions with local authorities.
Improve Results
Manage the country by outstanding performance under set of KPIs and targets. Achieve budget forecast in terms of sales, quantities, revenues, costs, operational profits as well as market share.

Requirements:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in the global shipping container company is essential. Proven track record in commercial/sales roles, with a strong focus on achieving business targets. Prior experience as a Managing Director, Country Manager, or similar leadership position in the UK Market. Demonstrated success in managing teams, including managerial-level staff. In-depth knowledge of business and performance metrics, with strong analytical skills. Exceptional organizational, leadership, and decision-making abilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. Advanced English
