Courier Driver – Chandlers Ford

About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable and punctual Courier Driver based at our Chandlers Ford site to collect samples from customer sites and ALS drop-off locations.
The successful candidate will:
- Work Monday to Friday (11:00 – 19:30)
- Drive a medium-wheeled van, maintaining its temperature-controlled fridge
- Multi-task efficiently in a team-oriented environment
- Ensure adherence to safe driving and professional standards
Contract: Full Time & Permanent Annual Salary: £13.45/hour + £2,000 location allowance Closing Date: Tuesday, 30th June 2026 Hiring Manager: Shaun Millington
The Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Drive safely and courteously, representing ALS brand values positively.
- Monitor and maintain vehicle fridge temperatures at all times.
- Build strong professional relationships with clients and team members.
- Exhibit flexibility to adapt to unexpected delays or extra requests.
- Accurately record van temperatures, sample consignments, and paperwork.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance (fluid top-ups, cleaning).
- Report any client issues or operational concerns to the Transport Manager.

Essential Requirements
- Clean and safe driving record.
- Valid, up-to-date driving licence.
- Previous experience driving medium-wheeled vans.
- Familiarity with UK road networks.
- Strong communication skills and teamwork ability.
- Reliability, adaptability, and initiative under pressure.
- Self-motivated, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability to work to deadlines and take initiative.
- Personal GPS device OR ability to provide your own navigation (support offered if unavailable).
