We have a fantastic opportunity for evening Courier Drivers to join our team based in Northwest London (NW10).
About the Role
The main purpose of the courier driver role is to contribute to the safe and timely movement and transportation of medical samples, consumables, and medical information.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the safe and timely movement and transportation of medical samples, consumables, and medical information.
- Excellent communication skills with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to maintain the highest standards.
- Use electronic and paper-based forms of recording tasks and items delivered and collected, ensuring all courier tasks are carried out correctly and to scheduled times.
- Heavy lifting/manual handling of equipment and goods may be involved.
- Driving vehicles from small vans to medium vans, which can be driven on the category B part of the UK Manual driving license. Vehicles will be taken home with no travel cost.

- Monday – Friday, Evenings, 40 hours per week – shift patterns will be discussed at the interview stage

Other Duties Include
- Carry out courier journeys to various locations and to agreed routes and timings.
- Complete digital and manual documentation required by both legislation and organizational procedures.
- Maintain regular contact with the operations office using a range of communication systems.
- Ensure all items are always kept safe and secure.
- Comply with the Road Traffic Act while driving and other relevant legislation connected to the vehicle.
- Act as customer contact at delivery points of service, and relay relevant information to the operations office.
- Complete vehicle checks prior to use, and to notify any defects to the Operations Office verbally and by recording on appropriate documentation.
- Always act in a polite and courteous manner to customers and road users.

Requirements

Must have held a Full UK Manual Driving Licence for a minimum of 12 months and have no more than 6 penalty points.
