Role Description

The Courier Driver role at PENNINE LOGISTICS LTD. is a full-time, off-site position located in Bury. The Courier Driver interacts with customers at pickup and drop-off points, provides updates when needed, and represents the company with professional and courteous behavior. The role also involves:

  • Basic vehicle checks
  • Reporting any maintenance issues
  • Collaborating with dispatch and operations teams to ensure efficient and accurate deliveries

Qualifications

  • Candidates should ideally possess strong driving skills and be comfortable operating commercial 3.5 tonne vans safely and efficiently.
  • Candidates should possess a full UK driving licence, meeting all legal and company requirements.
  • Candidates should possess effective communication skills and MUST speak, read, and write English to a good standard to coordinate with dispatch, colleagues, and customers during pickups and deliveries.
  • Candidates should possess customer service skills and a professional demeanor to ensure positive interactions at delivery and collection points.
  • Candidates should possess familiarity with basic vehicle safety checks and an understanding of road safety and compliance standards.
  • Ability to work full-time off-site in Bury, manage time effectively, and follow scheduled routes and deadlines.
  • Reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and moving parcels.
  • Previous experience in courier, delivery, or logistics driving roles is beneficial.
