Cover Supervisor
Secondary School - Enfield
Up to £110 per day
Are you looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a secondary school? Are you confident leading a class and considering a future career in teaching?
Horizon Teachers is currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across North London from September. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced school support staff looking to develop their skills in education.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged with the work provided while maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising classes across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5
- Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students complete the work set
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy
- Encouraging student participation and engagement throughout lessons
- Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson progress and student behaviour
- Supporting the wider school community where required

We're looking for candidates who:
- Hold a degree or have relevant experience working with young people
- Have excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Are confident, reliable, and adaptable
- Are passionate about supporting students and education
- Have previous experience in a school setting (desirable but not essential)
