A bit about us:

Brunel College is an independent alternative provision for students in Years 9, 10 & 11. The provision specialises in providing a nurturing environment for vulnerable students, students with SEND and behavioural needs by delivering lessons on a 1:1 and small group work basis, where the focus is on the well-being of our students.

Brunel College is a place where young people can learn through supportive interaction, experience and success. We aim to provide a safe environment for both young people and staff so that the emphasis can be placed upon growing, learning and fulfilling the potential that exists.

Are you a Cover Supervisor looking for a better work/life balance? Do you want to work somewhere where you can see the impact you are having? Then you should read on…

We are looking for a Cover Supervisor to support individual students and small groups of students. You will be required to supervise the learning of whole classes during the short term absence of the class teacher as they undertake work set by the teacher; to invigilate tests and examinations and to accompany staff and pupils on educational visits. When there is no staff absence you will be required to support the learning of our students and aid the smooth running of our school.

The preferred candidate will:

  • Be able to demonstrate a passion about supporting the progress of our students
  • Be able to establish strong relationships and have excellent interpersonal skills

Act as a role model in teaching through:

  • Consistently outstanding personal practice
  • Proactively seeking innovation in pedagogy through evidence-based practice
  • Foster a climate of support, self-reflection and continuous improvement in other colleagues
  • Deliver range of preplanned lessons to ensure student success
