Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Term-time only plus teacher training days (39 weeks)
Hours: 8.30am to 4.30pm Mon-Thurs & 8.30am-4pm Friday (37 hours per week)
Salary range: Grade 5 FTE Salary: £28,598-£34,434 per annum pro rata
We have the following permanent vacancy available to start on 1st September 2026.
We are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to work within the school and welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience. We are looking to appoint people who will share our vision for high quality education for all our children.

The role will be primarily to lead planned learning with individuals/groups/whole classes of pupils in a Teaching Assistant or Teacher’s absence. Please see the job description and person specification for full details.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience of working in partnership with class teachers to deliver good and outstanding classroom practice
- Have a good understanding of effective learning, good quality feedback to learners and how to support learners to make good progress
- Be passionate about teaching and learning and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our children.
- Be someone who can inspire and motivate children
- Have good subject knowledge and understanding of KS1 and KS2
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils and expect all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS is needed for this post. Two references will be taken up for all short-listed candidates prior to interview or appointment.
