Cover Supervisor

Cover Supervisor Position – Firth Park Campus, Sheffield

Location: Lift Firth Park Fircroft Avenue Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S5 0SD United Kingdom

Salary: NJC 12-17 Actual: £23,164 – £24,319 FTE equivalent: £28,598 – £30,024 Benefits:

Hours: 35 hours per week (39 weeks/year, permanent full-time)

Closing Date: 9th July, 12 noon

Interview Date: 14th July

Start Date: September 2025

Key Responsibilities

Provide teaching cover for:

  • Planned/unplanned teacher absences
  • Presents as a valued member of department teams across all subjects

Who Are We Looking For?

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of:

    • Whole-class/group-based behaviour management strategies
    • Support mechanisms for individual behavioural needs
  • Qualifications:

    • GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent) at grade 4 (C) or above
    • Degree-level qualification (Level 6 or equivalent)
  • Experience & Skills: ✔ Hands-on work with children and young people ✔ Proven ability to nurture positive relationships across student and teacher communities
