Location: Horsham, West Sussex
Pay: £95 – £115 per day (dependent on experience) • Paid weekly, PAYE

About the role
First Call Employment is building a pool of reliable Cover Supervisors for a secondary school in Horsham, ahead of the new academic year. You'll supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, delivering pre-set work and keeping lessons on track — no planning, no marking.
Bookings range from same-day cover to longer-term placements, so this suits anyone who wants flexible work on their terms: pick up days that fit your week, with the option of extended bookings when they arise.

What you'll do
- Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absence, delivering work set by the school
- Manage classroom behavior in line with the school's behavior policy
- Take registers, maintain a safe and orderly learning environment, and report back on the lesson
- Support the wider school day where required
What we're looking for
- Experience working with young people in a school, youth, sports coaching or similar setting (cover supervision or TA experience a strong advantage)
- Confident classroom presence and solid behavior management
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one (we'll guide you through it)
- Two professional references and the right to work in the UK
