Cover Supervisor (Qualified Teacher) – Secondary School

Location: Surrey Pay: £850 – £925 per week Contract: Full-time (5 days per week, Monday to Friday)

We are seeking a confident and dedicated Cover Supervisor with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to join a high-performing secondary school in Surrey. This school is known for its strong leadership, inclusive ethos, and commitment to academic excellence and student development.

Note: Due to location accessibility, this role would ideally suit a car driver.


About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will ensure continuity of education during teacher absences. This dynamic position involves:

  • Leading whole-class supervision across various subjects and key stages
  • Delivering structured, pre-planned lessons while adapting for different learners
  • Maintaining a calm, purposeful, and productive classroom environment
  • Upholding the school’s strong behaviour policy and high expectations
  • Supporting students to stay engaged, motivated, and focused on their learning
  • Building positive relationships with students and staff, contributing to the wider school community
  • Providing detailed feedback on student progress, engagement, and behaviour

Requirements

  • Essential: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience in secondary school settings
  • Strong classroom management & behaviour skills
  • Confident, adaptable, and proactive approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Note: Full right to work in the UK (no sponsorship required)
