St Jude’s Primary are looking to recruit a motivated, focussed, well-organised and engaging Cover Supervisor to join the team from September. This post would be ideal for either; a qualified teacher seeking a more relaxed role in education, a Pre-ECT teacher taking time before starting their teaching career or an experienced Cover Supervisor or HLTA who would like to develop their school experience.
Are you keen to join a supportive, driven and friendly team of teachers and support staff? Do you have:
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
- A flexible, positive attitude and strong classroom presence
- Understanding of how to support students with differing levels of ability and needs
- Ability to maintain high standards of behaviour and learning in a classroom environment
If so, then please get in touch.
St Jude’s will offer you an excellent induction with genuine, committed staff to support you in your new post. Our children have an enthusiasm for their learning. We love the opportunities for both staff and pupils that the Cover Supervisor post offers and have been running a Cover Supervisor System for some years now – with great benefit.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
