CPCS/NPORS Lift Supervisor

Lift Supervisor – Fleetwood, Lancashire (FY7)

An immediate start opportunity exists with Teamforce Labour for an experienced Lift Supervisor to work on a major infrastructure project with one of the UK’s leading Civil Engineering contractors.


About the Role

Teamforce Labour is seeking reliable, safety-conscious candidates with proven experience supervising lifting operations in a high-risk construction environment.

  • Location: Fleetwood, Lancashire (FY7)
  • Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00), with weekend work available

Requirements

Before applying, ensure you meet the essential criteria:

  • Hold a Blue CPCS A62 Crane/Lifting Operations Supervisor card or NPORS Lift Supervisor qualification
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar Lift Supervisor role
  • Can provide an up-to-date CV and two recent work references
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of:
    • Lifting plans
    • Safe systems of work
    • Current lifting regulations (e.g., LOLER, PUWER)
  • Possess excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Preferred (but not essential): Safety-Critical Medical clearance

Key Responsibilities

As a Lift Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise and coordinate all lifting operations on site
  • Ensure safe and compliant execution of lifting activities per the approved lifting plan
  • Liaise with:
    • Crane operators
    • Slinger/signallers
    • Appointed persons
    • Site management
  • Conduct pre-lift briefings to ensure clarity and understanding among personnel
  • Monitor compliance with:
    • Site health & safety procedures
    • Lifting regulations and standards
  • Report unsafe conditions or incidents promptly
  • Maintain high safety, quality, and productivity standards across the project
