CPE Test Engineer
Contract Details
- Initial 3-month contract with potential extension
- Location: Onsite in Winnersh, UK
Role Summary
Seeking an experienced Network Test Engineer to support the testing and validation of IPv4, IPv6, and Dual Stack network implementations. The role involves developing test requirements, creating test cases, executing test activities, and ensuring a high-quality customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute detailed IPv4, IPv6, and Dual Stack test cases, test suites, and regression tests.
- Validate network functionality, performance, and interoperability.
- Perform end-to-end testing from both technical and customer perspectives.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and document defects and network issues.
- Create and maintain test documentation, reports, and test evidence.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure successful network deployments.

Required Skills
- Strong understanding of IPv6 networking protocols.
- Strong understanding of IPv4 networking protocols.
- Hands-on experience with Dual Stack (IPv4/IPv6) networking.
- Proven experience in writing and executing network test cases and regression suites.
- Experience with defect analysis and root-cause investigation.
- Knowledge of packet analysis and network troubleshooting tools.

Desirable Experience
- Broadband networking experience (DOCSIS, Cable, Fibre, CPE).
- ISP or telecommunications domain experience.
- Test automation and scripting exposure.
