Job Title: C++/Python/Spark Developer
Company: Sensefolio
Location: Remote or London, UK
Sensefolio, a leading provider of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) data and analytics, is seeking a talented and driven C++/Python/Spark Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of our ESG data processing platform, leveraging your expertise in C++, Python, and Apache Spark to create innovative solutions that help drive sustainable finance. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and reliable data processing pipelines using C++, Python, and Apache Spark
- Collaborate with data scientists and other developers to optimize algorithms and implement machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) techniques
- Contribute to the development of APIs and other tools to facilitate the integration of Sensefolio’s ESG data and analytics solutions into clients’ systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, ensuring the stability and performance of our platform
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and share best practices with team members
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in software development, ESG investing, and data processing technologies

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus
- A minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience, with a focus on C++, Python, and Apache Spark
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
- Experience working with large-scale data processing, machine learning, or NLP is highly desirable
- Familiarity with ESG investing principles and market trends is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Detail-oriented, with a commitment to producing high-quality, maintainable code
