About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is passionate about learning a unique craft. This apprenticeship offers the opportunity to work alongside some of the industry's finest master craftsmen while developing the skills needed to become a highly skilled Gunmaker, with a long-term goal of securing permanent employment.
What you'll do at work
Throughout your apprenticeship, you will gain experience across a range of specialist disciplines before progressing into one of the following areas: Action, Barrel, Engraving, Engineering, and Finishing
- Undertake all aspects of the apprenticeship training programme, completing practical and theoretical learning
- Learn and develop skills across multiple craftsmanship departments
- Operate machinery, tools and equipment safely under supervision
- Produce work to the exceptionally high-quality standards expected by Holland & Holland
- Follow all Health & Safety policies and safe working procedures
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Factory
- Assist in achieving production targets while maintaining quality
- Contribute ideas for continuous improvement
- Maintain a positive attitude towards learning and personal development

Other requirements
Essential:
- GCSE Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in English and maths (or willingness to achieve these as part of the apprenticeship if applicable).
- Right to work in the UK
- Ability to travel to the Factory each day
Desirable:
- Previous practical or workshop experience
- Woodworking, engineering or metalworking hobbies
- Art, design or technical drawing interests
- Organised and able to manage apprenticeship coursework alongside practical work
