About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused Crane Driver with a minimum of 5 years’ experience operating mobile cranes. Based in Brisbane, this role involves working on a wide range of construction and infrastructure projects across Brisbane and surrounding regions. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of cranes, working closely with site supervisors, riggers, and dogmen to complete lifts to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate mobile cranes (slewing and non-slewing) to lift, move, and position heavy loads on construction and industrial sites.
  • Carry out pre-start checks, daily inspections, and routine maintenance of cranes.
  • Follow lift plans, site safety procedures, and Work Health & Safety (WHS) regulations.
  • Communicate clearly with riggers and dogmen during lifts.
  • Complete logbooks, lift records, and safety checklists accurately.
  • Identify risks and hazards, reporting incidents promptly.
  • Maintain professionalism and teamwork on-site.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience operating mobile cranes in construction, infrastructure, or industrial environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of lifting techniques, load charts, and safe operating procedures.
  • Ability to read and follow lift plans and technical diagrams.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a safety-first approach.
  • Proven ability to adapt to various site environments and conditions.
  • Physically fit and alert.

Required Qualifications & Licences (must Be Current)

  • High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) – Mobile Crane Classes: C6, C1, C2, or C0 (depending on crane type/size).
  • Dogging Licence (DG) – minimum requirement to work with riggers/dogmen.
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card).
  • Valid Queensland Driver’s Licence (HR or MR licence preferred for crane mobility).
  • Proof of working rights in Australia.

Highly Regarded (not Essential)

  • Rigging licence (RB, RI, RA).
  • First Aid & CPR certification.
  • VOC (Verification of Competency) assessments.
