Crane Lift Supervisor - Portishead
MadiganGill is currently recruiting for an experienced Crane Lift Supervisor to join a major civil engineering project in Portishead. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a minimum of 6 months' work with an immediate start.
Location: Portishead
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Minimum 6 months
Pay Rate: £27.00-£28.00 per hour
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 7:30am - 5:00pm

- Supervise and coordinate all lifting operations in accordance with the approved lift plan.
- Ensure all lifting activities are carried out safely and in line with current legislation and site procedures.
- Brief and coordinate with crane operators, slinger/signallers, and the site team before each lift.
- Carry out pre-lift checks and ensure lifting equipment is suitable, certified, and fit for purpose.
- Monitor lifting operations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Report any safety concerns, incidents, or equipment defects to site management.
- Maintain clear communication with all personnel involved in lifting activities.
Requirements

- Valid CPCS or NPORS (with CSCS hologram) Crane Lift Supervisor qualification.
- Previous experience working as a Crane Lift Supervisor on civil engineering projects.
- Full PPE, including hi-vis clothing.
- Strong understanding of lifting operations, health and safety, and site procedures.
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
