Founded in 1982, Ellis Crane Hire is a family-run business and lifting specialist with over four decades of experience delivering safe, reliable and professional lifting solutions. Based in Gloucestershire, we provide crane hire and contract lifting services to a wide range of sectors, supporting projects of all sizes across the region and beyond.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gloucester for a Crane Operator. The role involves:

  • Safely operating cranes for lifting operations
  • Performing equipment inspections
  • Ensuring compliance with company safety standards

Responsibilities include:

  • Loading and unloading heavy materials or equipment at job sites
  • Following method statements and risk assessments
  • Coordinating with the site team to execute lifting tasks efficiently
  • Conducting routine maintenance checks
  • Reporting any equipment issues

Qualifications

  • HGV Class 2 (Category C) - essential
  • Blue CPCS Card - advantageous
  • Experience operating Truck Mounted Cranes
