Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Account Director to join a talented & supportive team, committed to excellence in client service and project execution.
The Account Director will oversee and strategically grow a portfolio of Health & Beauty clients, driving success through innovative marketing campaigns and POS activations (temporary, permanent, and semi-permanent displays). Helping to leading and supporting an account team, the Account Director will focus on maximizing revenue and profitability for Delta, while delivering exceptional client satisfaction.
This is a hands-on role, and will require briefing and managing of projects through the agency for clients as a core part of the role requirements.
Applicants should demonstrate a proactive approach in helping clients meet their business objectives and possess strong experience in client-facing roles, ideally working directly with brands and retailers. Essential skills include expertise in taking clients’ briefs and a solid understanding of 3D POS print and production processes. Supporting the Group Account Director, the Account Director will ensure the delivery of high-quality services, manage the team’s time and costs effectively, and consistently meet agreed SLAs and KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
Client Accountability
- Strategic understanding of the client’s industry, business, and their competitors. Establish a full understanding of the client’s internal issues, processes, and policies
- Drive Client Service excellence and where possible upsell with a view to achieving Delta Creative budget projections
- Work in conjunction with other departments, such as Events to grow the offering to direct clients
- Proactively challenge briefs, and where appropriate, lead clients in the development of the campaign briefs and strategy
- Contribute to client’s business growth by identifying new opportunities
- Ensure consistently high level of service is provided by the account management team, including creation of creative briefs, presentation of creative, and its rationale to the client
- Oversee agency relationship with client’s other marketing partners (e.g., media, PR), ensuring an effective service is provided to both these partners and the client in turn, and that an integrated approach is adopted
- Assist in conducting regular client and agency reviews to ensure all service levels are being met and any issues are identified and acted upon

Agency Accountability
- Lead client projects within the agency, ensuring all appropriate agency personnel maintain a full understanding of the client’s requirement.
- Support GAD and take an active approach in leading, motivating, training members of the account team to ensure an effective service to clients and other areas of the agency.
- Provide support to the Group Account Director and Client Services Director as required, contributing to the successful running of the agency business.
- Identify new business opportunities within the client’s business and industry, and work with the new business team to develop and win new business.
- Adopt a growth mindset for H&B as a whole. Be comfortable presenting to new and prospective clients, understand their goals.
- Proactively review and analyse competitor and market activity and identify any implications to the client’s business.
- Maintain awareness of the latest industry issues, tactics and deliverables and relate those to the client (new media, formats, etc).
- Ensure compliance within account team, with all internal agency procedures, including invoicing, purchasing and job management.
Financial Accountability
- Responsibility for client account profitability, including contribution, agency cost and external costs.
- Working with Group Account Director on planning and forecasting process, including regular weekly forecasts, reporting of actual vs. planned performance, and identification of remedial actions where plans are not being met.
- Ensure all work is accurately estimated, within agreed ratecard, and that all intercompany invoices are managed successfully.
- Ensure all projects run profitably in-line with forecasts and that costs are in-line with expectations.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Extensive experience across a range of industries and marketing disciplines, together with comprehensive experience agency side. Specific skills required include:
- Proven industry experience including experience in senior account management roles.
- Experience in the key areas of marketing communications, including POS, ATL & BTL advertising, OOH, Digital, PR & Event marketing.
- Experience working in the Health and beauty sector
- Excellent project management skills plus an ability to multi-task proficiently
- A mix of analytical and creative capabilities
- High level of diplomacy and ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships both with clients and within the agency
- Educated to graduate level
