What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a Creative & Art Mentor with a genuine passion for supporting young people with SEND. Here, your personality, artistic background, and relationship-building skills are as vital as formal teaching credentials.
Core Requirements:
- Strong background in:
- Creative arts
- Digital media
- Photography
- Podcasting
- Design
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with disengaged or vulnerable youth.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and an enthusiastic, proactive personality.
- Patient, resilient, and highly adaptable approach to mentoring and emotional regulation.
- Confidence working with students displaying a range of additional needs, specifically Autism and ADHD.
- Valid right to work in the UK and an Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Desired Experience & Skills:
- Experience working in alternative provision, youth work, or pastoral support roles.
- Experience delivering personalized, interest-led learning programmes or creative workshops.
- Understanding of trauma-informed and relationship-led approaches.
- Experience supporting students working towards Functional Skills or GCSEs (advantageous).
- Teaching qualification (PGCE/QTS) is a plus but not essential for mentoring roles.
