Creative Coordinator

Ref: SC5016

Starting salary from £26,707 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £30,378 per annum.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Creative Coordinator to join the Sainsbury Centre's team.

The Sainsbury Centre is a world-class art museum with a unique perspective on how art can foster cultural dialogue and exchange, formally recognising the living lifeforce of art and enabling people to build relationships across an arts landscape.

We lead an ambitious programme with six-month seasons addressing societal challenges and fundamental questions facing humanity. The Creative Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of this wide-reaching programme that encompasses exhibitions, touring exhibitions, publications, Sculpture Park projects, interventions, collection displays, artist residencies, off-site projects and other special projects.

You will work closely with other Sainsbury Centre staff, particularly the Head of Exhibitions, Curators, Registrars, Technicians and Conservators, and will be expected to plan and manage your own workload within agreed systems and deadlines. The Creative Coordinator will be the central contact for the delivery of projects, developing and monitoring schedules and overseeing their practical delivery. You will also play an active role in generating partners and creative collaborators.

You will have recent experience of working in a museum or art gallery and supporting the development of exhibitions. You must be able to fulfil all the essential elements of the person specification.

This full-time post is available on a fixed term basis for up to 12 months.
