Req ID: 60294 Job Function: Brand and Marketing Posting Start Date: 02/07/2026 Posting End Date: 16/07/2026 Division: Consumer Job Location: GBR-London-BTHQ One Braham, London Advertised Salary: Competitive with great benefits Working Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
About The Role
Great creative work starts with a great idea, and a great idea starts with words. As Copywriter, you are one half of a creative team, working in partnership with an Art Director to generate ideas that are genuinely original, strategically grounded, and built to work across every channel the brand operates in.
This is not a production writing role—ideation is the core. You will spend significant time in creative development:
- Responding to briefs
- Generating concepts
- Exploring territories
- Refining ideas until they are strong enough to present with conviction
The writing should feel inevitable: the right words, in the right voice, doing exactly what the idea needs.
You’ll report to the Principal Creative within a team of high-performing creatives. The expectation is to prioritise bold thinking, challenge mediocre ideas, and always question whether the work can be braver, more human, or simpler.
What You’ll Be Doing
Core Responsibilities:
-
Ideation & Concept Development
- Work in partnership with an Art Director to develop integrated campaign ideas where concept drives both creative and copy.
- Create compelling, bold, and scalable ideas—challenging briefs strategically and contributing fresh thinking for strong, effective work across all channels.
- Bring creative rigor and a business-savvy approach to ensure campaigns deliver long-term value.
-
Copy Craft & Tone of Voice
- Craft compelling, brand-defining copy across all formats, using creativity, precision, and editorial judgement.
- Ensure copy resonates emotionally and intellectually with target audiences.
-
Strategic Understanding
- Interrogate briefs critically—understanding the true business problem, not just surface-level objectives.
- Develop audience-focused ideas grounded in brand insight, category expertise, and cultural relevance.
- Design content for specific channels while keeping the overarching campaign strategy clear.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
