Creative Cultural Engineer

Creative & Cultural Engineer – Be a Part of Something Unique!

We are a boutique lifestyle hotel based in the vibrant, creative heart of Shoreditch, known for its dynamic cultural and trend-setting scene. We’re currently seeking a dynamic and charismatic Creative & Cultural Engineer to join our team—values-driven, inclusive, and filled with people who live and breathe friendliness, support, and creativity.


About the Role

Your role as the Creative & Cultural Engineer will centres around shaping our hotel’s identity, strengthening community ties, and driving commercial success through engaging programming, marketing, and strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Culture, Community & Partnerships

  • Build and nurture relationships with local creatives, artists, musicians, designers, brands, and cultural organisations
  • Act as an ambassador for Hart Shoreditch within London’s creative, cultural, and hospitality communities
  • Identify emerging trends, talent, and partnership opportunities that enhance the hotel’s position in East London’s cultural landscape
  • Prospect, pitch, negotiate, and manage collaborations that improve brand awareness, audience growth, and commercial value

Marketing, Brand & Storytelling

  • Lead the creation and execution of content, campaigns, and storytelling across social media, digital, and offline platforms
  • Ensure brand consistency across guest interactions, marketing materials, digital channels, and partner outlets
  • Develop relationships with media, influencers, and content creators
  • Manage working relationships with PR and creative agencies
  • Oversee photography, videography, and content creation initiatives that showcase the hotel’s personality, neighbourhood, and cultural scene
  • Grow and engage guest and community databases through CRM, email marketing, and targeted audience engagement
  • Maintain and update website content, landing pages, and event promotions to align with brand goals

Experiences & Programming

  • Develop and deliver a year-round calendar of cultural programming, events, and experiences
  • Create curated opportunities for guests, locals, brands, and communities to connect
  • Collaborate closely with General Manager, Commercial Director, F&B, and operations teams to deliver seamless programmes
  • Drive initiatives to boost repeat attendance, community engagement, and guest loyalty

Planning & Commercial Performance

  • Drive revenue streams through partnerships, sponsorships, cultural events, and brand collaborations
  • Support rooms and F&B performance via marketing and community-driven activations
  • Develop annual marketing, partnership, and programming plans aligned with commercial objectives
  • Manage budgets and track ROI for campaigns, partnerships, and programming
  • Measure and report on KPIs (revenue, attendance, engagement, media coverage, audience growth, partnership success)
