Creative Design Brand Lead
Creative Design Brand Lead London/Essex
Fixed-term 12-month contract

About the Role
As Creative Design & Brand Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in safeguarding and evolving our brand, producing compelling visual content across all delivery channels. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams, senior leaders, delivery partners, and external stakeholders to craft creative solutions that align with our messaging and drive organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Brand Governance & Development
- Act as the brand guardian, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines across materials while conducting training, workshops, audits, and quality assurance.
- Support the Junior Creative & Brand Designer through mentoring, feedback, and professional development.

Design Production & Process Management
- Oversee the end-to-end graphic design workflow, managing stakeholder communication and requests efficiently.
- Develop and maintain branded templates for presentations, reports, technical documents, brochures, forms, and event collateral.
- Maintain the design intranet, curating assets, templates, and guidelines to support internal teams.
- Manage Templafy, ensuring scalable implementation across our brand materials.

Internal & External Collaboration
- Partner with the People Team to visually articulate purpose, pillars, and principles.
- Create high-impact presentations for leadership and programme activities.
- Design engaging social media content (static/dynamic graphics, GIFs, short animations).
- Support internal communications, engagement initiatives, and events with creative execution.
- Provide ad hoc design support for external affairs, including ministerial and cross-government events.

- Innovation & Team Support
- Stay ahead of design trends to enhance creative impact and brand cohesion.
- Advise stakeholders on design rationale and best practices, from concept to production.
Core Requirements
- 7+ years’ professional experience in graphic design, with bid or corporate communications specialization preferred.
- Proven track record of brand consistency enforcement in large or complex environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
- Strong ability to create presentation and document templates using Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
- Solid understanding of typography, layout, branding, and visual storytelling.
- Width to design print/digital assets like reports, booklets, flyers, and motion graphics.
- Experience with design process automation and template-led outputs.
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects under tight deadlines.
- Mentoring experience, including feedback sessions and career guidance.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, adept at guiding colleagues of all levels.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex messages into compelling visuals.
