I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Requirements & Considerations
• Experience leading creative projects in ecommerce or direct-to-consumer business (ideally with in-house/scaled teams). Understanding “newspaper stories into data” is extremely welcomed.
• A portfolio brimming with three+ campaigns for a single brand—be it paid ads, social + email, or seasonal transformations.
• End-to-end designer’s toolkit: spanning advanced Adobe Suite plus video/motion (After Effects+). You’re fluent in small-screen design and don’t fear “pick-artist,” pick-button tools.
• Dynamic *strategist-through-executioner. Write, refine and craft the creative to it’s final form. Capable of guiding junior teams until your work’s quality sparkles?
