I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Key Responsibilities
- Workflow Management & Studio Traffic Triage & Allocation: Own the daily intake, vetting, and assignment of incoming briefs via Monday.com, protecting creative focus time while maintaining strict delivery alignment.
- Proactive Optimization: Monitor the studio landscape continuously to identify workflow bottlenecks, capacity constraints, or timeline risks before they impact deliverables.
- Stakeholder Communications: Act as a reliable bridge between internal marketing partners and the studio pod—keeping delivery statuses clear, expectations managed, and communication channels open.
- Asset Stewardship: Facilitate the post-production handoff process, ensuring creative assets are accurately categorized, updated, and stored cleanly within SharePoint networks.
- AI Integration: Champion operational efficiency by introducing, testing, or building AI agent tooling to expedite automated brief processing and intake triage.
- Pre-Production Logistics Administrative Coordination: Set up the structural paperwork supporting video and photo asset creation, including model release documentation, permitting, and location coordination.
- Compliance Management: Maintain health and safety compliance steps for upcoming productions, formatting risk assessments and tracking logistical manifests.
- On-Set Support (Nice-to-Have): While the core remit focuses heavily on the pre-production administrative framework, the ability to attend shoots and provide live coordination support is a welcome bonus.
What You Will Bring
- Experience Matrix: Proven operational success in a studio traffic, creative operations, or creative production environment. Experience within an agency or a fast-paced corporate in-house team is highly transferrable.
- Tooling Expertise: High proficiency in Monday.com for project tracking and workflow orchestration. Strong competency using SharePoint for asset storage systems is highly desired.
- Production Fundamentals: Comfortable navigating the administrative legalities of shoot preparation (talent releases, location permissions, call sheet parameters).
- Tech-Forward Mindset: An “AI-first” curiosity and willingness to actively implement automated processes or AI agents to make daily tracking more efficient.
- Calm Authority: A steady, organized, and collaborative demeanor capable of balancing multiple moving targets with precision while protecting team morale.
