Creative Performance Lead

Creative Performance Lead

Department: Creative Strategy | Performance Creative | Growth Strategy Reports to: Head of Creative Strategy (with dotted line to Chief Creative Officer) Location: Hybrid, Central London (Camden Roundhouse) Compensation: £70,000 + Benefits Scheme + 28 Days Paid Holiday + Private Health

The Opportunity

We're hiring a Creative Performance Lead to join the Creative Strategy leadership team at Hambi Media, the UK’s largest performance creative department. Hambi Media is the creative engine of Soar Group, the UK’s #1 independent Meta agency group, responsible for £300M+ in Meta spend and a £100M+ ad handling portfolio. The Creative Strategy department is the group’s primary revenue driver, producing high-performance creative across High Production Video, UGC, and Static Design for 7-9 figure DTC and e-commerce brands.

Your role will bridge Growth Strategy and Creative Strategy, a rapidly evolving intersection where the next phase of work demands innovators who can speak both languages fluently. With a six-person leadership team—including Chief Creative Officer, Head of Creative Strategy, and three other Creatives—you will help elevate strategic thinking from execution to the commercial spine of all client relationships.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coach Senior Creative Strategists to operate at a higher growth-strategy level.
  • Lead department-wide upskilling on performance and growth strategy.
  • Accelerate collaboration between Creative Strategy and Growth Strategy to ensure alignment in insights, tools, and systems.
  • Leverage our £600M+ Meta data warehouse to identify macro trends, performance plays, and averaging insights that drive scaling across all accounts.

Unique to this Creative Lead-level position, you’ll split your time between:

  • 40% billable coaching and strategic support for 4 Senior Creative Strategists.
  • 60% cross-departmental work, including training, performance auditing, reporting, and cross-functional system design.

This role is ideal for advanced strategists with 5+ years of experience in growth strategy, performance marketing, creative execution, or media buying—especially those passionate about coaching and system-level impact.

What You’ll Own

1. Strategic Coaching & Management (Billable, 40%)

  • Embedded coaching of 4 Senior Creative Strategists, ensuring their work aligns with creative, data, offer, and distribution strategy.
  • Develop their ability to connect creative work with growth levers (offers, scaling, attribution, funnel conversion).
  • Constraint-focused mentoring:
    • Reverse-engineer performance bottlenecks.
    • Guide teams to identify upstream solutions that drive downstream change.
    • Adopt an individualised coaching approach—tailoring progression on a chess move pattern, by asking: "What does this person need next?" instead of defaulting to a one-size-fits-all solution.

2. The Strategic Voice on Growth & Performance

  • Serve as the primary leader on data, performance bottlenecks, scaling logic, and growth constraints across Creative Strategy.
  • Close the Creative-Growth gap:
    • Surface insights on what creative requires from Growth, and vice versa.
  • Critical fluency for your team in:
    • Offer development and refinement.
    • Distribution optimization.
    • Advanced growth frameworks (without solely focusing on creative execution).
    • Scaling logic, attribution models, and funnel optimization.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
