Creative Producer (New Short-Form Channel)

Contract: 6-month fixed-term
Location: New Media HQ, Derry Street, Kensington, London W8 5HY

About Us

DMG New Media builds social-first brands across news, sport, lifestyle, entertainment and culture, reaching hundreds of millions of people every month. We’re launching a new format-first short-form channel and we need a Creative Producer to help bring it to life.

About The Role

This is a launch. The channel has an established slate of formats, and you’ll work alongside the creative lead and channel manager to take them from treatment to publish, at pace, week after week. You’ll produce shoots end-to-end and keep every episode consistent in quality and feel — while bringing your own creative ideas to the table as the channel finds its voice. Strong ideas get made here, wherever they come from.

The slate mixes studio-based and on-location production, including filming with members of the public — so you’ll need to be confident on the street as well as on set. Some of the output is branded content, which means working to client briefs, treatments and approval cycles without losing the editorial feel.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Main Responsibilities

  • Run shoots end-to-end: planning, logistics, on-the-day production, through to delivery
  • Produce recurring episodes of established formats, keeping quality and visual consistency across every drop
  • Contribute creative ideas — new episodes, format twists, and pitches of your own as the channel grows
  • Source and secure locations, kit, contributors and talent, including casting members of the public on location
  • Support the creative lead on treatments, scripts and video structure, sharpening ideas for retention on TikTok, Reels and YouTube
  • Deliver branded episodes to client brief, managing approvals and brand requirements alongside the editorial cadence
  • Keep production status clear and current throughout, and own what you deliver
  • Use performance data to refine episodes as the channel finds its audience

Person Specification

  • A track record producing short-form social video at a regular cadence, ideally series or recurring formats
  • Hands-on shoot experience across studio and location, and the ability to run a set without hand-holding
  • Comfortable approaching and filming with members of the public — release forms, rapport, quick turnarounds
  • Creative instinct: ideas of your own, and the judgement to know when to flex a format and when to protect it
  • Experience producing branded or commercial content to client brief is a strong plus
  • Strong editorial judgement and a feel for TikTok and Reels specifically
