Creative Folkestone is an independent arts charity, and the Creative Quarter is central to Creative Folkestone’s mission to revitalise communities through creativity. Comprising 60 restored properties with over 290 mixed-use units, the Creative Quarter supports a dynamic community of around 300 artists and creatives. It contributes to the rejuvenation of the local economy by fostering numerous businesses and job opportunities, while also encouraging visitor footfall.

The Creative Quarter Estates Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Folkestone, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management and maintenance of properties within the Creative Quarter. This role coordinates building repairs, routine inspections, and facilities upkeep to ensure that workspaces, studios, and public areas are safe, welcoming, and fit for purpose. The supervisor liaises with tenants, artists, and contractors to respond to estates-related queries, and maintains accurate records of estates monitoring to ensure our work is compliant.

The maintenance of the Creative Quarter is overseen by the CQ Estates Manager. More straightforward work is carried out by the Estates Supervisor, and more complex, specialised work, often requiring compliance certification, is undertaken by our contractors.
