Creative Social Strategist
Make is a growing integrated digital agency in the heart of East London. Due to new client wins, we’re looking for a Creative Social Strategist to join our Strategy team.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between audience insights and ambitious creative execution. You'll live and breathe internet culture, turning social data and platform trends into sharp, highly creative content ideas and strategies that help our clients build relevance, engagement, and fame.
We’re seeking someone who is an intuitive storyteller, a cultural trend-spotter, and a proactive contributor with a genuine passion for the industry and delivering brilliant, platform-native work.
Things we look for in a Creative Social Strategist:
Strategy & Cultural Insight
- 3+ years of experience in a social strategy, content strategy, or creative strategy role within a digital, social, or creative agency.
- Platform Expertise: A native, deep understanding of social ecosystems (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)—knowing exactly how trends catch fire, how algorithms behave, and what drives community engagement.
- Insight Mining: Experience translating audience behaviors, social listening data, and cultural signals into strategically-sound creative concepts.
Ideation & Creative Partnership
- Creative Briefing: Proven ability to write inspiring, sharp creative briefs and lead collaborative ideation sessions with design and production teams.
- Content & Campaign Planning: Experience in social brand positioning, content planning/scheduling, and mapping out organic vs. paid social frameworks.
- Influencer & Creator Strategy: Experience designing and executing strategic influencer partnerships that feel authentic to a brand’s community.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
