Job Title: Creative Strategy Director (Entertainment and IP)

Location: Osterley, London, UK
Duration: Contract

Job Details:

We’re looking for a Creative Strategy Director to bridge the gap between world-class showrunners and market-leading brand strategy. An outstanding ability to distill complex show brand strategies into clear, simple, and compelling narratives that persuade senior leaders and drive decisions. Excellent collaborative skills, working with creative teams: The ability to take creatives on the journey with strategy. Navigates organizational dynamics and politics with intent. Demonstrable experience marketing across multiple entertainment genres (e.g. drama, comedy, factual, film), has excellent storytelling and strategic framework/architecture building skills. The ability to command the room with senior executives.

Role Summary

What you'll do:

  • Lead the creative strategy across all show campaigns, distilling multiple points of view on show narratives into simple, clear, and linear direction for both creatives and stakeholders.
  • Establish and build relationships at a senior level, acting as a lynchpin between Creative and other senior stakeholders from commissioners, studio marketing, production companies, talent teams, and show creators.
  • Act as a strategic partner to Studios teams and external production partners, translating creative intent into market-facing narratives without diluting authorship.
  • Act as a senior creative sparring partner on show positioning, campaign ideas, and executional direction, with the confidence to challenge both creative and stakeholder thinking.
  • Make informed calls on creative risk, tone, and ambition in line with show intent and audience appetite.
  • Define and protect long-term show positioning across seasons, spin-offs, and formats.
  • Build franchise thinking for returning series and tentpole titles.
  • Create consistent show ‘worlds’ that hold across marketing, content, partnerships, and platforms.
  • Balance short-term audience delivery with long-term brand equity for titles.
  • Deliver creative briefs, show brand identities, campaign comms, and brand experiences across campaigns.

What you'll bring:

  • Demonstrated executive experience and presence, with the confidence and judgment to engage, persuade, and influence senior leaders.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and tension, balancing diplomacy with conviction to ensure creative moves forward.
  • Outstanding presentation skills, and ability to ‘read the room’ – confident in stakeholder management and able to effectively manage and build relationships across complex organizations and stakeholder processes.
  • Strong hands-on strategy experience in driving ruthless simplicity from complex briefs.
  • Strong background in brand and campaign planning, comfortable building both brand platforms and campaign plans and executing them across multiple media.
  • Strong understanding and experience guiding and utilizing effective consumer and creative research.
  • Genuine love and understanding of the entertainment, TV, and movie categories.
