Creche Assistant – Wandsworth Southside FWC | Childcare | Permanent | Part-Time
Role Overview
£27,768 (pro rata) – 6 hours per week | Shifts: 09:00–13:00
We are seeking a dedicated Creche Assistant to join our vibrant community club. In this enriching role, you’ll foster a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for children, nurturing their physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and psychological development through play and education. You’ll stay current with childcare legislation, attend training opportunities, and bring a true passion for creating positive experiences for the children and families in our care.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll ensure strong support in a nurturing setting while adhering to health and safety policies:
- Comply with Health and Safety regulations at all times
- Maintain a safe, clean, secure, and engaging creche environment
- Promote holistic child development (physical, emotional, intellectual, social & psychological) through play-based learning & educational activities
- Provide age-appropriate play and learning equipment
- Ensure a safe, welcoming, organisational space at all times
- Regularly liaise with parents/carers in an informative and sensitive manner

Requirements
We’re looking for a candidate with:
- Proven experience working in a creche or early years setting
- A qualification equivalent to:
- NNEB
- NVQ Level 3
- BTEC
- Optional (but highly desirable):
- EYPS (Early Years Professional Status)
- Paediatric First Aid certification
- The ability to work flexible shifts (09:00–13:00)
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s growth and families
