Structured Finance Analyst - Project Finance | London | Permanent (Right to work in UK is required)

Are you an experienced Project Finance professional looking for an opportunity to take ownership of transactions from origination through to ongoing portfolio management? A leading international bank is seeking a Structured Finance Analyst to join its London-based Structured Finance team. This role offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and project finance transactions across established and emerging sectors, working closely with senior stakeholders.

This is a broad and highly visible role combining new deal due diligence, credit analysis, portfolio monitoring, credit ratings, documentation management, and stakeholder engagement. You will have the opportunity to independently assess complex project finance opportunities and present recommendations directly to senior credit committees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full credit analysis and due diligence process on new project finance transactions across a range of sectors.
  • Prepare and present investment recommendations for local and Head Office credit committees.
  • Monitor an existing portfolio of project finance assets, identifying and escalating construction, operational, or financial risks.
  • Conduct ongoing credit reviews and maintain internal risk ratings.
  • Attend lender meetings and engage with borrowers, sponsors, financial advisers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Prepare internal approval papers for consent requests, amendments, and waivers.
  • Produce sector, country, and regulatory research to support business and portfolio strategy.
  • Support transaction execution activities including KYC, funding requests, and loan drawdowns.

We are keen to speak with professionals who possess:

  • Proven experience in Project Finance Credit Analysis.
  • Hands-on experience conducting full due diligence and credit assessment for structured or project finance transactions.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to prepare high-quality credit papers and investment recommendations.
  • Experience monitoring loan portfolios and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Broad sector coverage with strong opportunities for professional development and progression.
